dear friends,
Any job done with sincerety and patience will fetch good result and we have been doing the same in our Association. Thanks for the good support given by all of you.
We have got our long standing demand of one more option for the Retirees who has left our Staff mediclaim to join, is now accepted. and the circular for the same has been sent to all the offices across india.
Let us give you the details of it.
Now all those retirees who has gone out of the scheme either by default or voluntarily, can now join the scheme with their spouse and also the spouse of the deceased.
Increase or decrease of coverage of premium is also allowed in NIC (circular Issued)
But you can also approach the other companies since the fresh option is given to join, it is implied that the existing members can increase or decrease the coverage.

The above decision was preceded by our meeting the National Chairman and we also thanked the Chairman GIPSA at Chennai on 19th Jan. and he has assured us to meet in May'12.

We met the chairman National on 12th March at KOlkata and discussed the issues pending with them and he agreed to consider the same. We met Shri Brahma GM personal the same day and demanded Nimbs RBS payment and re opening of Benefit Member enrolment to Retirees. We gave representation to the Secretary NIMBS Shri Senapathy and he agreed to examine our demand.

We are taking sincere steps and we are sure we will succeed if not today, tomorrow.

with regards
NAGARAJAN
General Secretary

What happens to option of increase in Sum Insured in Mediclaim policty for retired people? When one more option has been given to opt for inclusion in the scheme, why increase in sum insured option not given. Cost of hospitalisation has gone up steeply and existing sum insured is not at all sufficient in case of hospitalisation. Moreover, no subsidy is involved and ex-employees are paying the entire premium. Please take up this issue very strongly.
